The Allclear Clinic, Belfast (AllClear)
Acquired by Quality Healthcare in January 2004, AllClear is a leading day-case clinic which has been in operation since 1992. Located between the Malone and Lisburn roads, AllClear currently provides ophthalmic (mainly corneal laser treatments) services. AllClear also leases theatre time at the Mater Hospital to provide ophthalmic surgical services.

Shanakiel Hospital, Cork (Shanakiel)
Acquired by Quality Healthcare in July 2004, Shanakiel is a private hospital located on the west side of Cork city. Shanakiel has been in operation as a general hospital and an elderly care facility since 1918. Shanakiel is a 44 bed Vhi/BUPA/VIVAS/NTPF approved private hospital and day-case facility, which provides a range of medical and elective surgical treatments.

The Waterford Eye Clinic, Waterford (WEC)
Acquired by Quality Healthcare in January 2005, WEC is a joint venture with Waterford eye surgeon, Jim O’Reilly. The leading eye clinic in Waterford, WEC has been in operation for many years and moved to extended new premises in the Maritana Gate building in 2004.

Gerard Kervick; Medical Director;
Mr Kervick, is a leading ophthalmic surgeon and the founder of AllClear. He studied medicine at University College Cork, and received post-graduate training in Cork, Cardiff, Belfast, and Miami. In 1991 he was appointed consultant at the Altnagelvin Area Hospital, Derry. In1995 he was appointed consultant at the Mater Hospital, Belfast to head up a new ophthalmic department.
Mr Kervick set up AllClear in 1992 to provide laser refractive surgery. As one of the first surgeons to perform this surgery in the UK, he has been actively involved in helping develop other surgeons in this specialist area.

Matt O’Driscoll; Corporate Finance Director;
Mr O’Driscoll is a chartered accountant with over 30 years experience in accounting, corporate banking, business acquisitions and fund-raisings.
He is a former head of corporate finance at Ernst & Young, Hong Kong/China.
Mr O’Driscoll is also a founder and director of diabetes drug development company, Diabetica Limited, a spin-out from the University of Ulster.
